New Paradigms to Moderate Panel on Open Source Business Strategies

Top Industry Executives to Discuss How to Be Successful with Open Source at SDForum Event

Los Gatos, CA September 1, 2007  New Paradigms Marketing Group's founder, John Soper, will lead a panel of top Silicon Valley Open Source Software (OSS) executives addressing the strategic business opportunities and issues with Open Source Software. The panel, "Open Source as a Business Strategy: Alliances, Marketing and Development in an Open World" will be presented September 1st by the Software Development Forum (SDForum).

"Open Source Software is gaining much wider acceptance as a technology and distribution model," said John Soper, moderator for the event. He added, "Companies are looking at the competitive advantages they can gain using Open Source Software and our exploring new territory with creative business strategies. We look forward to hear about some of the success from our experienced panel."

Members of the panel include consultants and industry executives. Represented are: Bernard Golden, Chief Executive Officer, Navica, and author of "Succeeding with Open Source"; John Bara, VP Marketing of XenSorce, who will discuss there recent exciting acquisition by Citrix; Bill Soward, President and CEO of Adaptive Planning, who as successfully combined and Open Source Software and Software as a Service (SaaS) model: and John Soper, Founder and Principal of New Paradigms Marketing, who has work with OSS from its early stages of commercial viability.
